Swedish premium electric car manufacturer, Polestar and charging service provider, Virta have strengthened their cooperation for the rest of the year 2022. During the last months of the year, Finnish customers who order the new Polestar 2 model will receive €850 in advance for charging throughout the Virta network.

This can be used throughout all of Finland, as well as Virta's Europe-wide network. The amount corresponds to about one year of driving, depending on the price of a charge and individual driving habits.

The Polestar and Virta collaboration combines the attractiveness of purchasing electric cars with the ever-expanding charging infrastructure. Through this cooperation, we jointly promote the growth of electric mobility.

“Electric driving is the most attractive option for the consumer from both an environmental and economic point of view. Polestar 2 has quickly become a favorite of Finns, and with the developing charging network, moving without fuel is now easier than ever. It's great to be able to expand our customer reach again with the charging service platform,” says Tommi Luopajärvi, CEO of Polestar Finland.

"With that sum of €850, you can drive around 15,000 km, depending on charging prices and driving habits, of course. The charging network covers all of Finland, and the growth of the fast-charging network in demand is really amazing: CCS fast charging stations are growing in harmony with the number of cars sold. For example, the Powered by Virta fast charging network is more than doubling the fast chargers already ordered from us. Unfortunately, due to the components, a large part of the chargers will not be delivered until winter, and thus a large part of the installations can only be done in the spring," says Aleksi Patana, country manager of Virta's charging network in Finland.
